The Evolution of iScaper1
Hello and welcome to iScaper1, my name is Kerry and 30+ years ago I grew tired of traveling and working in the road construction industry, so with little money and experience I started my company Taylor Landscaping in Southern Utah. 12 years later I had two backhoes, three dump trucks, a Ditch Witch trencher, a small dozer, and a gravel screening plant. The bulk of my business was installing sprinkler systems, sewer systems, and gravel access roads to homes in the area.
Around the year 2000 we moved from Southern Utah to Salt Lake City in order to provide better educational opportunities for our children. In Salt Lake I became more specialized in my business and began installing xeriscapes with drought tolerant plants and xerigation watering. In 2011 I enrolled in a local community college and obtained a web programming certificate. At the same time, I began making do it yourself videos for YouTube with a focus on lawn sprinkler systems and landscaping. Over the years my channel has evolved to include DIY projects around the home. At the start my video creating gear was:
- Mac Mini computer
- iMovie
- Canon digital camera
- Logitech microphone
